To The Great and Wonderful Speck,
Here is some poetry set to your magnificent track Meant To Be. In it I heard all the elements I needed to set a few poems of mine. These poems were written when I worked in a homeless shelter in Ottawa. It was there I redefined many things including what one should laugh at or about in this world. I say all that to say I hope it makes you smile :)

Chattering cubes
Vibrating with cares
and woes of
bishops/pawns & peons
caramelized ‘tudes
and mesophilian caustics
anti-grav & stop-errors
are the sweater-set you wear.

you can fuel your dreams with your alcoholic breath
the stuff to test the fool within
puts me, your suitor of sorts
in a wildly, ecstatic perma-grin

your forgotten remembrance of your former glory
impeccable natural highs
results in your sunday best
marginally more soiled than your tie

question me all you want mr. jeopardy
mr. hey-aren’t-we
for am I your doctor all week long
you should try the veal, you should sip my tea

my conclusion on what drives your natural state
riddles me right to my core
i don’t think that I am more righteous than you
but the judge ain’t my friend, and my wife is a whore
