Go to Google Music and search “Pump the Breaks break beats for aggressive music,” and you’ll see someone is selling an album of ccMixter remixes. I don’t recall receiving any request for use of my music, did anyone else?

There are a few unofficial albums with ccM content. As long as the tracks are licenced as CC-BY (which your track White Cube seems to be), the album publisher doesn’t need to ask for permission. It would be nice if they at least said “thank you” though.

From what I’ve seen, these types of albums don’t tend to get a lot of listens. Maybe the album publishers earned a few pennies from my efforts, but in return I’ve got free marketing and a few new listeners. Of course, if they were selling CDs for 20 Euros, I might take a different view.

You can disallow all of this with CC-BY-NC, but this also restricts other uses that you might actually want. I find that CC Plus is a happy medium.
