Voice as a Remixer

My intent is to select Creative Commons licensed and public domain songs, poems, and other pieces to vocally reinterpret. A voice can be a remixing tool, like any other instrument. Why not take words and “remix” them with a new feel and sound?

It was born of playing around with some very antique (and well used) recording equipment; thus, I will record all of my pells using that noisy setup. I will provide a “raw and dirty”, a “cleaner, but possible artifacted”, and a “cleaned, with effects” mp3 for each upload.

I give particular credit to skoria for Krishinda’s rendition of Overreacting by Brad Sucks as inspiration.

I hope that you enjoy my interpretations. (Any requests?) I would also strongly encourage other mixters to explore similar a cappella ‘remixes’. If you do, let me know! I’d love to see what other people come up with.
