Your tags and source made it impossible for me not to give this a listen. I love this vocal more than words can describe and you have more than done it justice. Just enough power to support the emotion, just enough restraint to not lose the sensitivity.

I’m sure others will tell you how technically or musically brilliant you are, but I’m just an old lady with ears that don’t lie and I say fantastic job and well worth leaving the housework. The dust will be there when you return.

Personal question: what is that avatar? I’m guessing a sculpture made of bread, but maybe I’m just hungry…

The kind mixter gave us a link to the origin of his avatar…see his reply to me above. Thanks for agreeing with me; most of my life is spent arguing with everybody…occupational hazard I suppose :-).

Beautiful. Very nice to hear such thorough song-writing work - absolutely lovely harmonies and chord transitions. That would be impressive on its own, but the production is flawless to boot. (Awesome tags, by the way).

Excellent work.

Frighteningly beautiful. It’s like you tapped my musical heart and jacked a part of it.

A foot planted firmly in Robbie Dupree and Criss Cross land.

Your guitar work and production is a joy and it’s an honour to get a mix off ya !

for as many remixes as you’ve made and released here the list of mixes of this track is a little short i’d wager.

oddly i didn’t even think about either of those dudes making this as i think i was targeting more 80s prods like richard marx and starship but i can see how that makes sense. :D

glad you like it!

2 years on and I have just bought a pair of Monster N Tune cans and this mix sounds even better.

Sleeperspaceborn remixes are awesome

Stunning, great production with respect for the pella! Bravo!
Your tags also triggered me to listen, mainly because in my remix of this pella I also referred to some ‘instruments of the past’: Ensoniq, TR 808, Solina :-) http://ccmixter.org/files/g...
Thanks for a great listen!

heh. i heart my fairlight samples so much :D

that new bon iver song “beth / rest” has be craving M1 & O1/W era synth sounds quite a bit. it’s amazing. pretty much why i used the key sound i did (except it was FM8 instead :)

i like your jam though; reminds me of DM stuff like “the things you said” and “waiting for the night”. ya.

mr. mister is / was the shit, i kinda wish their albums were more synth reverb lusciousness like their singles were. ah well.

This is just amazing. I’m almost slightly disappointed I listened to this before I had a go at remixing it myself as I could not do better.

The production is fabulous and I just love the 80’s vibe. Very well done.
