There was a school of thought in the NYC folk scene in the eighties that acoustic guitars blended well with crisp drums, clean guitars, and pads… Suzanne Vega was the most prominent of these (she was kind of a hero of mine.) This sounds just like that.

I actually tried to model some of this remix after Sia’s Colour the Small One. For quite a while I listened to Sia, Bjork, and Suzanne Vega in the early 2000s.
