Love it Anchor. I haven’t heard Rkod’s remix, and is the original pella around? I love the theme of this piece. All the fx on the vocals and the music so perfectly carry that nautical atmosphere. There is quirkiness to your vocal delivery that is always endearing (to my ears). I just love this. Thanks for making it. I’ll leave the genre hair splitting and the musical analysis for the others.;-).

By the way, that avatar is stupendous. I wish I could see it bigger.

Thanks for the visitation. I appreciate the observations. It’s always fun to work with dJ RkOd’s music…very atmospheric. The original pella is up on my page under the title: “Two Songs/Different Worlds & One Song of it’s own World”….the avatar banner is the ancient seal of the city of Paris.

The vocals work very well with the arrangement which though understated is a very nice piece of work in itself.

Only problem with this mix is I’m so relaxed now I can’t get my legs to work properly!!:)

Leaving the dead to bury the dead—six knots full speed ahead, six leagues under.

Your remix of the original DJ Rkod is interesting, because the rearrangement of the way the vocals and the backing music figure into the mix gives the piece (originally I typed, “the peace”) a different feel—very insistent, and odd, and good.

You really have an organic sense of dynamics in a track; I love the combination of constancy and change as it progresses. One really gets a feeling of a journey, full of wonder and watery glee.

Didn_t had a listen to DJ Rkod_s first version, so that_s a surprise to hear this version. In comparision this is much better because the vocals are treated right for this mood. The backmusic of DJ Rkod is wonderful.
Regarding the new avatar, the story(lyrics) and the music, the combination matches very good. Sort of new, electric influenced anthem for sailors! :-)

Loved this Anchor, kind of took me back to old This Mortal Coil at the intro. DJ Rkods music is a brilliant backing for you voice.
What with this and the Joy piece I hope you two keep on inpiring each other, the outcome so far is lovely.

Only just got round to listening to this - it’s a really good one, and as everyone else says, you and DJ Rkod make a good combination. Don’t know why, but something about this reminds me of the weirder Doors numbers!
