Hej Martijn, this is cool! Really dig the ideas you’re bringing. The bass sounds awesome & really helps move the track along. The sax is also tasty — works very well & adds a nice jazzy dimension. Great — think you got all angles covered! Kudos! And, oh yeah — appreciate the title! ;-)

Excellent jazzy chill. Cool and engaging. (Excellent set of samples to play with too, thanks.)

I have a question for you Speck. If I mix in the instruments, especially the saxes, I like to lower the volume in certain phrases. I check the mix in Audacity (the flacs) and in Media Player (the mp3, without equalizer). But, when I listen to the remix on ccMixter, the saxes seem to be a lot louder. What am I doing wrong?

You got me stumped there. A finished mix shouldn’t sound any different once uploaded.

Hmm ok. Thank you anyway! Must be some settings I use somewhere.

Did you try to bounce the track to .wav and then convert to flac after?

Yes. Podium Free only bounces to wav. I then put the separate instruments (wav) in Audacity and focus on the volumes. After that, in Audacity, I export them to flac. Do you think I should convert the files to flac before dropping them into Audacity?

Copper, thank you very much! Your comment really helped. I need to convert the instruments into flacs, before importing them for editing into Audacity.
