:) I especially like the mood that the extremely simple synth riff does in the background.

I was listening to some synthwave stuff from The Midnight before when I noticed this. Really nice

Thanks and I know. I have faced comments about sounding 80s retroish for years probably because I was there… but then two young guys do it like The Midnight and suddenly it’s cool and they have been around for few years now. :)

Hehe I think 80s are becoming cool again. Been watching Dark on Netflix recently and it brings a lot of nostalgia as I lived in those times as well.

the nylon string guitar melody is so hooky, so lovely. i love the chords you’ve chosen under the verses and chorus — you’ve changed them to sound more hopeful. i don’t even know how you select/play the uniquely beautiful synth and percussion sounds — all I know is they WORK. and oh my, those high vocal treatments!!! this remix is a gift for me, and a message i long to share with our broken world. thank you Jeff.

I consider this one of my most satisfying mixes and I never tire of listening to you sing. I must have played it at least two hundred times since conception. :)
