Love it! I have had a xaphoon for nearly 20 years. I’ve got loads of old recordings of myself playing xaphoon like this: free-form improvisations thick with reverb and delay.

I don’t know what it is with winds but I love them thick with space and verb :) The other track is sent through some guitar pedals and such I have kicking around :) Are those samples of yours still around? :)
Cheers!

Fantastic—love it. I also love your percussion work. Do you know a song called “Solid Air” by John Martyn? Would love to cover that with you in an extended jam!

I love Solid Air both the song and the metaphysical phenomena! :) I loved your take on May You Never too… a fitting homage is at the end of the latest incarnation of Steeped :) I would do just about any track with you Javo! A somewhat pricy ticket not-withstanding I think a tour is in order!
Cheers!

Yeah, I caught that lyrical quote at the end of the podcast—and much appreciated! Yeah, I can just imagine a jam session on something like “Solid Air”—would be v. cool!

Some day I will take a trip over yonder and we shall jam the pants off of all those luck enough to hear us play! :) Until then we’ll have to jam pseudo-live some time. Hows your internet connection up that way? :) I wonder if any ccMixterers have ever done an internet based live jam… Anyway always great to hear from you Javo!
Cheers!

Cheers KF—yeah man, that sounds like my kinda gig! Internet jamming crossed my mind too—dunno how feasible it is now but maybe one day it will be The Thing! All the best—and keep blowing that bloody Xaph (coz it’s great)!

YES! I’m so glad you did this! What a delightful little instrument… I do think it would go lovely with that lil’ guitar of mine… Hmmmmm… ;)

Yup, ditto most of the superlatives above. I’ve got one. It don’t sound like this ;-)
