Great to see The Tis the Season remix rolling on ccmixter!

And, we’re happy that, now, the two existing acapella recordings by Allison Crowe are available for remixing.

One thing to note - Allison’s music is released under a BY-NC-SA license. (The description for the files here will soon include that license info.)

Best wishes of the season, everyone!!

we changed it to CC BY NC — unfortunately ccMixter doesn’t support CC BY SA because it makes remixing nearly impossible. is it ok to keep this license? thanks!

oh, and if you have a couple of other pells, you may want to upload them to your Allison Crowe account so you can better tag & track them? let us know if you need any help! peace.

Yes, of course, that is just great with the license as you have it - CC-BY-NC.

Allison records almost everything live, or live-off-the-floor, with vocals and all instruments combined. We have searched for pells - and so far, only two have been located, and both, now, are on ccMixter - thanks to the encouragement and efforts of Christian and the Free! Musik! Contest! and, now, Nicole and Jamendo :)

We believe there may be one or two more pells “out there”. I did look when we visited a studio this Summer where Allison has recorded in past - but, could not locate anything. We will remember :)

A beautiful vocal, with such lovely phrasing (i think that is what it is called). I really loved the chance for the repeated listening needed for my remix.
