I like the individual parts very much - but I don’t immediately get the connection between the intro and how it transitions to the ending part (with the very nice synth lead).

I can live with that though, because the intro, mid and ending are all very good. :)

New avatar. Mysterious but still cool. That’s you all over.

I think you are just way too hard on yourself! This sounds great.

as in all things digital & visceral, some got it, some need to work at it a bit more. rest & relax this is one of the best State Shirt re-mixes ever. ever, ever.

I agree with Colab in the fact that the individual parts are very good. I understand your idea is very interesting in terms of the dynamics you want to give the song, but I agree it needs work done.

When I have found myself with this situation (good idea, good structure and basically great individual parts but nothing that is working as a whole for me) I go back to the board and do it all over again with other instruments maybe and of course redoing the mix. Try changing the drums to another cleaner drum sound, watch out for the hihat (too present), lead is great!… hope this helps :)

Loved the intro. I think the part that had some disconnect was the drums/ percussion part in the chorus. Can’t quite describe it but there was some dissonance. I’m no master remixer so my amateur views would be to just rework the drums for the chorus part. Also, to add a bit more effects to the electronica part nearer the end. It sounded too “off the shelf”. Just my 2-cents and please take it with a pinch of salt.

Wow, Like this a lot. A strong melody with a powerful rhythm. Reminds me a lot of M83. Change in tempo add’s character and power/drive.

Would be interested in pulling the stems. Nice work

Sweetness! love the bass. it’s a great counter-point to the fragile drums. yeah, the last 20 seconds, when using just the bass and vocals (for the most part), really makes the track for me. awesome!

Love that bass!
