There is a very old song from my natal Puerto Rico, somewhat of a folksy classic, that I’ve cherished for ages since I was a child. The song is sort of impossible to find nowadays despite my best efforts and the original creator is all together unknown. I guess the song remained in my unconscious always nameless always haunting. Maybe one day I’ll decipher the mystery of its origins. For now here is my Original/somewhat avant-garde interpretation of a collection of excerpts from the original classic. I imagine a good treatment to this would be downbeat; although as I was playing with the tempo it showed potential for a faster breakbeat ensemble.
