The Forest And Two Children

Poem by. Bun Onoe
(Translation by. riyuhip)

I feel the air getting coolrer and cooler,
Tearing off the shadow of myself from the ground, why don’t I wrap it on your shoulders
The air between the trees are wavy like the Winter ocean, heavy and massive
I t has been bringing cold wind from the North,
And on the mirror of a large fern, I see three living things with long tails
They are reflected there, frozen
So that is why my shoulders, the inside of my eyes, and everywhere else are all cold

A minute ago, who was absorbed in the forest leaves, leaving behind a very metallic noise,
That was the sunset
A sexual animal, like a woman who has become pergnant with a bbay in her womb

As you throw white breath up into the sky, and walk further and further into the birth road of the woods,
we become invisible eggs
Like twin brothers, sleeping inside a womb, sticking wet against each other,
you and I are trying to be dropped on this forest
Alphabets are hanging down from a branch, as they tangle around with one another
A puddiing of the forest-green-frog
A flashing bat’s U.F.O. flight
Sitting under a giant tree, they are whisoering secretly,
The ghosts of the lovers
The dog that jumped out of your dream, and the dog that jumped out of mine, are chasing after one another before of our eyes
As you blow a whistle, “pi-i-i-i, pi-i-i-i”, and froop in further and further into the forest’s birth road, we two are born
You, who come out of yourself, and I, that come ou tof myself, crawl out od one another, and become two tiny footsteps
The forest, after we had passed through, is leftt with a sweet and sour smell,
And in May, a fruit of Hohzuki shall grow
Play
