I got the luck of the draw this time when I was assigned Reiswerk who is a prodigious contributor to ccMIxter. I had no trouble finding source material to work with; his catalog is vast and inspiring. The problem I had (as many of us seem to have experienced), was culling the source material I had curated. In fact, I had so much going on in the mix I was working on that my DAW crashed, the session became corrupt and I had to start all over again — Sunday morning!

So I apologize to Reiswerk for this late submission. It was my intention to be on time — but this seems to happen to me again and again. It’s kind of like everything I offer. Well intentioned, but a little shabby — kind of like me. I try to make up for the lack of finesse with heart.

I am excited to share this track. It is a spontaneous holiday carol that I had so much fun making.

Thank you Reiswerk and Apoxode for your great samples. Synths, percussion and trumpet are Resiwerk. Bells are Apoxode.

Vocals are uploaded separately ( here). I will upload other stems soon (bass, finger cymbal, koshi chime).

I hope everyone has a peaceful and healthy winter season.

Come sing along so we can carry on

Let’s bring in the year with song and good cheer
With love in our hearts
So we can carry on
Come sing along Come sing along Come sing along
So we can carry on

When it’s hard to see
When the darkness comes
Listen to the hum of the stars above
Feel it in your heart your belly in your lungs
That’s how to find the song so you can carry on

Down on your luck or lucky as a duck
Do you feel rested when you wake up
Good or bad times right or wrong
When we sing along we can carry on

Grass on scorched lands grows so fast
Look at what we have instead of what we lack
There is love if you don’t turn your back
When we sing along we can carry on

Inhale the light express the night
Until you find the feel that feels just right
When we feel the tone of the internal gong
We start the song that carries us along

Knowing when it’s time to rest
Relieve the pressure of being best
Seasonal regional short or long
Let’s listen for the song to carry us along

Hymn Prayer Harmony
Carole Soliloquy
Aria Binaural Beats

Let us start the song that carries us along
