Since I have made my own attempts to improve my signal path and technique on vocal recordings, I found this article (originally in EQ) on backstage-lounge.com useful and interesting. Unfortunately, I do not have the bankroll to afford the gear these pros use, but the engineering is as much or more about technique & skills than the gear.
