The CrammedDiscs prize will be that the remized songs all appear on a disc which is sold online. The contest however allows CC-NonCommerical to be used in the remixes.

The sale of the song would seem to preclude the use of noncommercially licensed material.

So, am I wrong in my understanding of the CC license, or would the sale of this disc actually be contractually illegitimate?

Though, shouldn’t that be mentioned on the contest page itself. I mean, it is a good possibility that of the 9 best entries several NC samples are used.
