Hey, all. If anyone has heard what I have on the site so far, you are aware that I am indeed, a newbie.

I’d like to learn more about what goes on here, but I’m finding information on the internet to be a little over my head.

Also, right now I’m using Audacity for Mac OS X, but I’m getting the feeling that there are probably better tools out there. What should I be looking for in software?

Any and all generic beginner’s advice is welcome. Thanks =)

You might want to spend a little time browsing the " How I Did It" library. Many are uselessly short but there are quite a few helpful gems in there.

Hi Crash Potato!

I’ve just made a tutorial of one of my remixes I made which people have generally liked. Some of the stuff in the tutorial can be a bit over your head but I’ve made it with ‘newbies’ in mind.

Also, I use Mac and Audacity with Logic and Kontakt sampler.

The song itself can be found here. And the tutorial can be found here. If you prefer a HTML version, click here.

There are links to the samples and screenshots in the tutorial as well.

Let me know if how it goes!
