ccMixter is committed to ensure the site remains free from spam, marketers and other illegitimate users. The admin team makes its best efforts to ensure only legitimate ccMixter-related activity is taking place on the site. However, sometimes a marketer sneaks in, perhaps leaving a bogus review or making a fake forum post that only contains a link to some outside product page. In the event you ever come across something like that, please feel free to notify the admins. Your assistance in this regard is much appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks Susan. To add to your comments, some spam users also place these spam-links in their profiles. If you see any, please let us know.
Additionally, much thanks to Victor and everyone here, ccMixter is recognized for the ‘purity’ of its content. To quote from the site’s Terms of Use: You may only post music to ccMixter that you have the right to post and license under a Creative Commons license. For example, this means that you can only post music that you yourself create, music that is in the public domain or any other material that you have the express permission to use and license to the world, for example, under a Creative Commons Sampling Plus license or a Creative Commons Noncommercial Sampling Plus license. For the avoidance of doubt, materials that infringe the rights of any third party (ie. materials used without express permission of the copyright owner) may not be used. We really appreciate all of you that flag tracks that may be in violation and/or email Admin and let us know of possible issues. |
