Don’t get a Mac… Don’t cross to the dark side… :) Just kidding.Mac is OK.
I can suggest (from cheapest to the les cheapest) : E-MU 0404 usb 2.0 ( my card, no problems with it so far), or PreSonus FireBox (really nice card), or TC Electronic Konnekt 24D (they really know how to make audio stuff, btw that’s my next audio card), or … I could go on and on.
It all depends on your budget … Budget, such an evil word for a music/producer/whatever enthusiast. :)
