Hi Guys
i m having some issues with my M-Audio firewire 410

I have an
Imac PPC
10.4.11

and today i have downloaded some new drivers FireWire_OSX_1.8.4-3.dmg (6.7 MB)

i have install everything as i m supposed to do
and on start up my mac doesn’t recognize the sound card
and the blue light on the cards on/off keeps flashing
anybody can help me please
it pisses me of because i had this card for many years with no pronlems what so ever and since today nothing works

I have never used the 410 and I’m no “tech head” but if it is of any help it is always best to go into the disk utility and redo the permissions before and after installing software particulaly drivers.

I’ll offer you this thought. My daughter’s laptop was having a problem recognizing the dvd-rom drive. It turned out to be a problem with the proprietary software from the laptop manufacturer and windows not getting along, where they had in the past. It sounds like you might have something similar here. Are there any redundant sound drivers (e.g. anything that is driving sound from your mac that it doesn’t need because you have the sound card and it’s drivers?) It’s just a thought, I don’t have any real experience with this stuff. :-)

I v downloaded the older update drivers and everything works
