New "News" Feature

victor 1807 posts	. permalink Mon, Nov 24, 2008 @ 6:46 PM I’ve turned on an experimental new feature: ccMixter in the News We get an awful lot of web-love and podcast plays and videos soundtracks all day long (!) that it’s easy to overlook all the love out there for our efforts. I’ve got it on ‘extras’ tab for now, updating every hour — if it doesn’t get too abused I’ll move it to the front page.

victor 1807 posts	. permalink Tue, Dec 23, 2008 @ 1:16 PM I’ve temporarily disabled this feature because it seems it’s too easy to fool the Google news alert system that I was using to automate it. About half the ‘news’ in the last week or 2 were just link spam.
