I liked the start immediately. The arrangement is refreshing and has enough changes and surprises to keep me glued. Track ends with a nice finish.
There are two aspects that you might want to relook: (1) The vocal alignment (for the chorus part) may need further tweaking. It got a bit distracting when the vocals don’t sound quite as aligned as it can be. Then it got better at the second “how do I make you see” stanza, until the chorus came in again. (2) The overall track volume sounds a bit on the loud-n-slighty-discomforting side on my earphones (could be they are cheap ones!) |

Cheers Ivan. Glad yoy liked the overall concept.Re the tweaks - the loudness is probably me trying to hard on the “mastering”. Re the alignment of the vocal - there was something irking me about this but i couldnt put my finger on it. Better luck next time i supose.

for me the soul in MVW’s soft delivery goes way beyond pop. but, hey, you must know that ‘cause you did this great track to back her up.

I like this very much, and your tags are bang on. The track really clicks with me and manages to trigger my early 90s nostalgia buttons.

Terrific treatment! I really enjoyed, particularly appreciating the shift from the lush guitar wash to the intense guitar pulse. Bravo!

thanks, urmymuse! delighted to hear this mix! very refreshing indeed.
re: the vocal alignment problem, my bad. shouldn’t have assumed that everyone could hear the beats in my head. I’ll try to include a separate pell with metronome beats in the background next time. :-) |
