victor, if you could fwd this I would be very psyched and much obliged! The timestamp on the site says that it was uploaded before August 1st, but I guess I just cut it too close. I found out about this contest two days ago and then waited until the last second to download (tweak tweak tweak), then got tripped up by the necessary log in, which cost me five minutes.

Anyway, any help you could offer would be very much appreciated.

The lawyers are quoting the rules back to me:

"All eligible entries must be received by Sponsors via the http:// ccmixter.org site by 9:00 p.m. PT, July 31, 2005. Entries that finish uploading after 9:00 p.m. PT, July 31, 2005 are not eligible."

the rules also say:

"By participating, entrants agree that the Sponsors’ parties are not responsible or liable for, and shall be released and held harmless from: (i) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind;"

Plus I delivered the entries to the judges shortly after 9pm and I know the judging is already under way. Besides legal stuff, the rules were posted 10 weeks ago and we started taking entires 6 weeks ago so out of fairness to the other entrants who managed to get their entries in on time, judges and cc and ccmixter staff it was a stretch.
