My father played harmonica. He only knew three tunes one of which was We’ve Got Chickens In Our Back Yard. When I was old enough he taught me the tune which I would play on his broken chromatic harmonica. It was one of my early introductions into the world of music. Later he taught me how to play the comb and paper. After more years elapsed he bought me a guitar or to be more precise a cheesecutter that you could play tunes on.
