Elron’s got some great octaving work going on. Susan’s voice pitched down does sound a little huskier, particularly when she’s soloing.
The piano’s got a great 80s stage piano tone, a la Simply Red. This whole thing’s right up my alley. |
.
Thanks, AB.
Octave guitar riffs remind me of Me and Mrs Jones guitar intro “:0) ElRon done good on this one. Susan voice sounds more sexy Motown pitched down. Husky doesn’t sound alluring. Simple Red is a generous analogy. They did some cool R&B. |

Ditto on the Simply Red!

A pretty cool tune. The pitchshifting on Susan’s voice works very good. Nice!

Thanks, Sub. I’ve been hooked on Susan’s alto voice since “Under the Palapa”

Wow! So smooth! The vocal shifting is a very dangerous action, I know. But now, in the lower pitch, Su’s voice got a more interesting, sexy color. …Hmmm, I love it! ;)

GREAT ARRANGEMENT!!!! I love the arrangement — wow! Would you be surprised if I told you I had songs like “Me and Mrs. Jones” in the back of my mind when I tracked this vocal? (Although I must admit, despite how well it suits the track, and despite my life-long aspiration to be an alto, it is weird to hear myself in this register.)Thanks so much for remixing me!

Pleased that you like the arrangement, Susan. Seems natural that you thought about a Me and Mrs Jones-like sound since the pell seemed to be calling out to be remixed in that genre “:0) At first, I was hearing a Midnight Train to Georgia-type progression but this one fit well and ElRon jumped right into the Billy Paul style arrangement without any encouragement.
The song has an outro similar to the intro. Faded out sooner due to the 13MB limit. Your alto voice is a hit! |

Thanks, C.
Zapac created new string orchestration tracks for this mix. We should post a new remix at some point with updated strings. |

Thanks, Steven. We are quite pleased with the soulful feel.
Look for another remix of this song soon. Zapac rerecorded the strings and provided additional orchestration. |
