One reason our band got it’s name was we’ve quite a lot in common with 80s disco act Stock Aitken Waterman (as well as Stella Artois lager, which although Belgian in origin is Britain’s favourite pint!) who produced Rick Astley etc.

Their singer, Louise, did a cover of Steeler’s Wheel’s Stuck In The Middle With You in the mid 1990s, my wife is presumably a distant relative, they’re almost identical twins :)

The Sheila’s Wheels car insurance adverts we had on our TV play on that record :)

Katie has also suffered from anorexia due to fashion media pressures, meaning she’s been every dress size from 0 to 20. SAW used to actually market Louise as different artists depending on her weight- she made a documentary about it called “Size Zero Louise”- which is worth watching :) Hence Mandy, Kylie, Sonia and so forth…

(not my singing BTW) The chap responsbile for this has worked for Jim Henson’s (Muppet Show, Sesame Street) fantastic animation company. On that note, one of the hardest feats to accomplish with most video editing software is accurate lip-synch.

Lastly the real Katie/Cathy pictured in the mid 90s a few years before her health problems started. Thankfully, she’s now started making a full recovery and will be able to contribute vocals as well as writing/production to ccmixter! The whole affair resulted in both of us being left unable to work and reliant on family handouts/welfare, which makes the horrid tabloid press that we have here not only a joke but a very cruel one :(
