I’m torn as hell, because the musical ideas here work really, really well - but again there’s a bit of an audio clipping issue with the vocals.
I know the original vocals are very low volume - but if you were to normalize first and then have just the right amount of compression, you should be able to boost the volume of the vocals without it cracking. |

Listening whilst working here. Totally forget I was getting down to a ccMixter tune and was thinking the Buzz FM DJ was going to start up any moment. Smooth rhythm, great blend of sounds and ace organ work, which itself dances all over the top of your cool piano stabs.
(ps - Does the beat quite loop correctly, I’m picking up some double bass drum overlap near the end of the track?) |

Thanks Scott,
You know I’m noticing it but only in the VBR render, not the CBR (that I didn’t post). Is it possible that VBR slips rythmic sounds the longer the song goes? The drum loop was def 90 and once made was looped to grid for the entire project. ??? PS I’m still trying to unravel “Being a man” parts for you. |

Like this loads, Scombers, both your backing track and this lady’s delivery and funny, sexy words. Really enjoyed the listen. xx

Well you’re looking pretty hot in all those photos but couldn’t find the one of you in red undies. Disappointment on a monumental scale. I’m wondering if the secretary in lame (with an accent on the ‘e’!) bikini gets repetitive strain probs? xxxx

Oooh! I love this sexy, funky, laid back direction you’ve been exploring lately. Terrific set up for the vocal.

fun, jazzy track, Scomber. the drifting BPM can be caused by cpu power drain, too. you can consolidate multiple tracks into a single trk., and unplug internet & turn off monitor whilst recording.
loved the music on this one. p |
