Glad to know someone out there thinks the same way as me. (ie planning a song properly)
Its the execution with my lack of patience that generally lets me down though..
I’m passionate about “pop” theory, ie what makes a song a hit, regardless of the genre.. Often its subtle repetition/reflection in a song; a build and resolve and the careful placement of idea/structural devices like hooks and bridges.
Technical precision is not often required if you get some of these things right..
