It’s great! Creative and clever, but what I really, really, really like is your voice: it’s a top-notch “English-sounding” pop voice that’s kinda reminiscent of (showing my age here) sixties dudes like Lennon, Jeff Lynne and Ray Davies. I can also hear (showing my age and eccentricity even more) Stackridge in this track, in sentiment if not technique. Well, anyway, I did a lot of singing in my misspent youth and I know a good voice when I hear one! Finally, you deserve a lorra lorra credit for your song/track titles—an art in itself!

very kind words indeed Javolenus, i’m completely floored, thank u so much! it’s funny u mention Ray Davies, i’ve actually been spinning “Waterloo Sunset” about 3 doz. times this wk listening 2 all those Shel Talmy production touches, oh yeh…& “Afternoon Tea” & “Death of a Clown”……Jeff Lynne, always been a huge fan there, 2, of course Beatles. Stackridge, unfamiliar w/who he is but will check him out! anyway, hope we can collab on something down the road (beyond me just lifting ur instrumentals, lol)…i’ve been listening 2 a great many of ur tracks & they’re incredibly great!

lol—“titles”—they’re usually near next 2 random but i’m glad u got a kick out of ‘em

peace

Hi and thanks for this. Yeah, Ray Davies is great, and I can definitely hear a touch of him in your style. Stackridge are a virtually unknown band but great—check out a track called “Waiting For You And England To return”. Song titles I find interesting—always loved those Smiths titles like “Shoplifters of the World Unite and Take Over”, “Vicar in a Tutu” etc. Yeah, agreed, would be good to collab. Cheers!

:D thx, Kara!! speaking of Ray & Dave, i’d loooooove 2 take a serious shot at recording ur ultra-clever tune “Cat Deformity”
in a faux Kinks vein sometime, after I get a wee bit braver…

That is a FANTASTIC idea. I would be mighty flattered (there’s something extra exciting about someone doin’ a cover of a song). I included all the instrument stems in a zip on the remix page…. they all line up. Also, if you ever have any duet ideas, lemme know…

Alas, Kara, i am recently frequently flustered by the “(y)ou are not authorized to submit this type of file at this time, most likely because you have met the quota for this type of submission” message. After 2 many yeeeeears of slo mo dial-up & the mental anguish that accompanied all that (lol), I’m quite easily distracted…but I’m probably just in a snit 2day about being blocked from uploading. Yet I see plenty others uploading zillions of things, & I’m talking about a 10mb mp3 here. Heck, I email these things in about 1 second these days… :0
