I have been to your site and read that would prefer lyrics and structure to be respected. Well you can ask, but i have a feeling it wont happen. You are on CC Mixter cut up and re share, but then again the results might just surpass your imagination. :-) |

Good Point! The lyrics and structure thing was written mostly for folks who were participating in the DEF with the REVOLUTION rEMIX pROJECT specifically through my site.
I would definitely prefer the lyrics to remain unchanged due to the nature of the project. But as far as structure, I’m quite excited to see what folks in the CCMixter community come up with. By the way, I checked out your page - really great stuff. Thanks so much for your time. |

i echo Loveshadow…..once you put your tracks on ccM, well, cutting is part of the deal.
when i first joined the site, i remember personally preferring the tracks that kept my ‘song’ in-tact….but then that began to change….as i became less attached to ‘my’ creation and more fully appreciated the myriad of art (by letting go) that was created by ccM’s artists. interesting whipping section at the end ;) |

Once again, I agree. Within the CCMixter site and community, I totally understand that the parameters are wide open.
I think what I should have said before was that I would be able to showcase remixes that did keep the lyrics in tact on the DEF with the REVOLUTION rEMIX pROJECT official site. Aside from that, I’m very intrigued to see what kind of musical origami comes out of this site and am glad to be a part. Thanks to both you and Loveshadow for helping me make myself a bit more clear. I appreciate your time. Keep up the great work. |
