Awesome track man. In my opinion the vocals are a little too quiet, but otherwise its a really tight mix, nice job

Thanks stev! well about vocals, I was having hard time with their equalizing as in some regions they were creating sibilance and listening fatigue. I have polished the track for that and uploaded again. Hope you find it more satisfying now.

Hey man, this is really good.
Love the breakbeat vibe (Its a genre I’ve been into since the 90’s before nu-skool breakz came to town) and dig the initial arp synth riff. Your vocal work is nicely delivered even if a little harder to hear than clean (no verbed) vocals. Even though, as I listen this develops into a kick ass track. Great work dude 10/10 if you ask me. You a BT fan by chance? |
.
Wow Thanks Scot! Vocals were a dificult element for me as I wanted the track to be dance oriented not pop style. I did the track with MB compression on master by didn’t like it so, so made the master buss clean with just a limiter on it now and I uploaded the file again.
BT? do you really think that my nick is a coincidence? madskilled is a track by BT. He is the guy that introduced me to the breakbeat genre particularly nuskool style. I love em. Thats the reason why I liked trifonic as they have very similar style to BT. BT and Hybrid are my main inspiration. What about you? |

Yeah man, Madskillz, Mic Checka!
No wonder we dig each others stuff. BT is a god. Here’s my hero list - Hybrid, BT, Way Out West, Crystal Method, DJ Rap and Guy Sigsworth (Frou Frou). You have some good taste man |

Thanks scot for the compliments! its a real pleasure meeting someone who shares your taste of music. Yep, all the artist you mentioned are on the top of my list. Each one of them have their own distinct style. You can go on listening to em and never get fed up of them. These guys are like morphine addiction I tell ya.
Man your musical style is really awesome. I really enjoy listening to your tracks again and again. I hope I learn some good tricks from you. Keep crafting those funky nifty tracks. Hey man I further polished the track with some modifications on the arp synth and de-essaying the vocals. Give it a listen, I think you will like it as it has become much cleaner now. tc |

Cool breakbeat track! I think I listened to a dozen (or two) remixes of “Broken” and I cannot recall any breaks take. This one is nice, specially the melodies and harmonies in the second half.
Now some constructive criticism :P : that snare sounds too upfront and harsh for me; a little EQ adjustment may be needed also; I agree with was said about the vocals. Overall, great! There is a guy who makes awesome breaks here, I suggest you give a listen: http://ccmixter.org/people/... I also made a DJ compilation of ccMixter electro breaks tracks some time ago: http://www.archive.org/deta... |

Thanks s.c for the appreciation. Also your criticism is most welcomed. I will try to balance out the elements that you mentioned need to be adjusted. Will give a listen to the recommendations you made. Well you take care
