To answer your question, I had this track premixed from another project that didn’t pan out but lost the stems due to a hard drive crash. I wanted to make the vocals work so I had to pitch the entire mix up to what I thought was the closest key to the vocals which was d minor. I realize the vocals might not be exactly in d minor or have the same chord structure so I had the idea of playing around with vocal notes to force them into d minor but I didn’t want to do this if I didn’t have to so the original vocal structure could remain intact. The vocals don’t really sit too comfortably in the mix but enough that I found interesting and different.

I know that was a lengthy explanation but wanted to provide insight.
