I like the way you use delay and reverb to add layers, the tuned drums are a nice way to give some counterpoint to the pella; the sparse, big space of the mix coupled with the playful tone of RDD’s vocals lends the whole thing a quiet-smile feeling. Also liked how the breakbeat echoes the scatting. (RDD reminded me of Steve Miller somehow in this.)
This is worth listening to all the way through for the total effect, not for the “impress me in 10 sec. or get lost” crowd… |

I ain’t never impressed anyone in 10 seconds… you can read that however you like.

Whoa… I enjoyed this a lot. I go around during the day thinking about all kinds of rhythms, sometimes vocalizing ideas (until the elevator door starts to open anyway :), but I have to listen closely to hear everything you’re doing in this track. I’m glad you liked the idea of the song and decided to do this. thanks…..
