This acappella is a mystery to me - such a haunting melody and sung so soulfully, yet I don’t know which language it is, which region it comes from (Castillian, Basque, Portugese, East European, Rom gypsy, Middle East, none of the above ? inclined towards guessing Spain first because of “saffron”) It was definitely a challenge to accompany. Beautiful voice, soulful vibrato and wonderful swelling dynamics.
