Well… I did my last remix in two days, and that’s the shortest time from a scratch to release I’ve ever had :) Usually it takes me 2 weeks to 2 months…

Well, about the remix:

I like the beat, especially the faster one at 2:54.

The vocals don’t fit in all the time, maybe it’s different key in the strings… can’t figure it out.

The overdone compression distracts me a bit, the strings get chopped by the beat.

I think the song was very good, just not perfect.

the first day, i downloaded the tracks, but didn’t work on it. the second day, i realized that the tempo was way off, so instead of starting over, i chopped up the actual lyrics to fit…heh heh….oops.

thanks for the reviews. and…someone wanna give me a compression lesson?

3 days, eh? That’s more than enough time. I think it would be a safe bet to say most of the remixers did theirs in a day. Once you get started, it just flows, you know? But anyway, I like the music. The lyrics stray in a few places, but the music itself is great. It gets all uplifting and all that, but it’s on parts where the lyrics haven’t changed feeling yet. Hence, the music doesn’t follow the emotion of the song. At least to me, that’s a very important subtle detail. So, take the lyrics off and keep a really tight, well played instrumental.
