I really like how you started it by turning the ubiquitous “put your hands in the air” around. That’s when I turn rappers off, when they tell me how to react to them before they’ve even said anything and then when they tell me how superior they are. Yeah, I don’t listen to much rap. But I heard this all the way through, and enjoyed it very much.

I have tried various times to create these kind of beats and I have no idea how to do so. So my full respect for building this perfect beat to the pells.

Robbero produced the instrumental. He’s the one who built the beat. I added the vocals to it after the fact. I love that there are so many ways to interact with ccmixter content. When I discovered Ms. Vybe on ccmixter, I noticed how she would sometimes introduce a new pell by recording her vocals over pre-existing ccmixter instrumentals. I really liked how those tracks sounded and felt inspired to experiment with the idea myself.
