I like the James Bond alike setup…a bit of panning would not have been too bad I think….

this is a very poetic “remix” — adaptation — of Zutsuri’s song-poem…
I would describe it like… it goes on two levels… one being the “cello” and the cello-like “attitude” … which already makes it “scenic”… like a good art movie (like Stranger than Paradise :)) dramatic, romantic, and extremely sensitive — which fits the original… enlarging this beautiful quality of it..

and there’s another level as well… the drums and the rhythm…
it’s not always on… and this is, I think, a very delicate artistic “choice” — device :) :)
but when it comes on… it becomes a master scene… the original had already dissolved in the cello-environment, and now that all dissolves in this wide new flow… all emotional, all set at full force… not only is it totally beautiful in itself… it is even more beautiful cause it OBVIOUSLY is a product of Donnie Drost’s sensitively experiencing the beautiful composition by Zutsuri, time after time…

I have heard now all remixes of this song-poem, and I love Stefan Kartenberg’s so much (!!!) that when I started to listen to other musician’s remixes I didn’t think I would find one that even comes near (sorry for this simplification!) but Donnie Drost’s is another unique vision of the original song-poem… and when I’m listening to it, I don’t want to listen to anything else… Nevertheless… the rhythm that Stefan Kartenberg deployed is totally akin to this layer of drums, I mean, they are not two totally different worlds… but different visions :)

oh, one more thing: I LOVE Hooverphonic’s Eden !!! I love it so much!!! And the strings above the drums remind me of that, which does not take anything off of its originality (!!), but makes it even more beautiful…
