In your “how I did it” section, you wrote that you applied a boost and compression. I wonder if it’ll help if you also tweak the EQ setting a bit, paying attention to the higher frequencies. You know, of course, that this suggestion comes from an amateur :)

Oh, noticed another thing: now the volume for your vocals might be quite close to red-lining (i.e. creating a little buzz on the speakers when they get too loud). But it isn’t too obvious though — and it might be my cheap earphones playing tricks :) Anyway, don’t feel compelled to have to change it. Save your strength for the next remix, lol.
