Some of the chord progressions and the guitar picking remind me of Radiohead’s Paranoid Android, but not too much.

And yes, you are correct; a real guitar would be better. Or maybe you could tweak the sound a bit? Some chorus or flanger might make it sound less like a synth.

I know ending a song is a hard thing, but I would have faded out this one.
