Ok, I go look at the spiders now. I just got back from googleland hunting the hao hao.

I googled Hao Hao too, but couldn’t find anything. Perhaps it’s the translation - I’m reading the stories in Dutch.

I found this guy that carves them. Interesting read on the biography tab.

That’s really nice, thank you for sharing Speck. They resemble the 1890’s photos I saw. There were also dancers dressed as the Hao Hao bird, with huge beaks - almost half the size of a canoe.
