Thanks Javo! I’m not much of a slap bass player. My strings are at least 10 years old - perhaps closer to 15 ;)

Knew a bass player (long ago) who used to remove his strings, boil them, and then put them back on!!! Don’t know if that’s a good idea … ?!

I do that too, maybe twice a year. And in between just clean them up, along with the neck :)

It’s a hygienic thingy I guess. Strings smell really awful after a while ;)
