Hi there and many thanks indeed for this. I like the treatment! I especially like the reed instrument (sounds like a soprano sax), which has a lovely tone, and which you play beautiful and fluid.
I’ve listened a couple of times and, I’ve got some tentative suggestions: 1. I wonder if it might be better to use the “song-dry” file in my original Downloads? This doesn’t have the extra guitar fills+doodles+solo on. I mention this because I think your terrific woodwind should have more space (without all the busy trebly GTR twiddles). 2. I wonder if some light percussion would be good? 3. The voices add a lot of atmosphere but I wonder if they might be used more sparingly, in order to maximise the effect when they do kick in? But hey, I could listen to that sax-xaphoon thing all day! Thanks again and all the best! |

Great suggestions all around. I think I did use the track without the fiddly bits of guitar but there is just some lovely interplay with Xaphoon and Guitaro. I will be ‘straightening’ out the vox tracks and adding percussion soon :)

The xaphoon is absolutely lovely. (I had to look up what that is — wonderful to learn something new!)

It is the cheapest, easiest and most portable saxophone I have ever had :) It sits right beside my recording equipment and I often grab it to sculpt out some melody in a track. I am glad you enjoyed as I am sure there is much more Xaphooning to come!
