Great chords, Javo. I’m always interested in alternative tuning.

Cheers Rob. Yeah, altered tunings are where it’s at. Listen to Pat Metheney and John Martyn. I recommend the “Martyn” tuning of DADGAD.

I’ll try that later. Yeah I love Metheney’s work. Joni Mitchell was totally self-taught so she invented her own tunings and chords. Thelonious Monk, too - maybe that’s why so few can sound like him (although Chick Correa’s pretty damn good!

Hi Rob. Do you know the Metheney album “One Quiet Night”? If not, do check it out—just superb!

No mate - don’t have that one. By the way, I’m working on another one of yours & speaking of tuning I ‘ve had to tune the koto up a semi-tone (all 13 strings!)

Mmm, sounds a bastard — I’ve got a 12-string but can’t even be bothered to keep it in standard tuning! Reminds me of a quote from Jan Akkerman about playing the lute (16 strings) that performances consist of 15 minutes playing and 3 hours tuning.
