Actually I really appreciate that insightful comment because I was keen to add just enough “colour” without “muddying the palette”, so to speak. The bass is very “Jaco” (Pastorius) and while I’m no Pat Metheney, I was aiming for a similar vibe to his “Bright Size Life” album.
