Seeing as you just left this review, perhaps Alex will respond to you. Meanwhile, you do not need to get special permission to use music from ccMixter as long as you comply with the license terms. For tracks that are licensed cc-by, that means you attribute the artist and provide a link to the song where you upload your video. If the music is licensed cc-by-nc, you need to attribute the artist and provide a link, but you also can only use the song for non-commercial use. If your use is commercial, you need to get permission not only from the mixter, but all source artists as well (to the extent the source material is also licensed under a cc-by-nc license).
