Siphelele Edgar Mkhize (a.k.a. DJ MEBS) founder and owner of Mgaroh Productions & KAM-LA Records, was born in the east Coast, northern KZN, grew up in Esikhawini Township near Richards Bay/Empangeni. He began collecting Jazz and Fusion records at the age of 13 and also became a member of local contemporal Jazz group owned by a friend, where he played a guitar while attending school in the same Township.
