Dibaba
About Me
Dibaba is Olle Cornéer from Stockholm, Sweden. Last year his debut album Songs for Good Lives received nice reviews and shout outs all over. For example 6/6 in Raveline (Germany) and 5/5 in DMC Update (UK) for the bleepy single Kill Rock’N’Roll (Let It Bleed). Nice indeed, but now it’s time to move forward.
At the moment Olle Cornéer’s side project Dada Life is causing quite a stir on Mylo’s Breastfed label. First singel “Big Time is out now. Watch out for the even bigger (yep!) “Vote Yes. And even more to come…
He has also finished his second album. It’s called “The Super Mall Serving Variety and is a simple and rough affair compared to last years “Songs For Good Lives. But hey, there’s still enough hooks for everybody! That’s a promise! Out on Kompakt-distributed Plong! this autumn/winter. Also check out the first single for DJ Hell’s label International Deejay Gigolos. The tune is called “Don’t Forget That You Were Saved in Dada Land and is out now.
From before Dibaba has releases such as “Flow my Tears, the DJ said which got excellent reviews in the world’s premier magazine for leftfield music - The Wire. “Hold You on the other hand was backed by PIAS and remixed by Agoria. The track has been Tune of the week on BBC.co.uk. It also made it into Pete Tong’s Buzz Chart and got top reviews in Jockey Slut, and iDJ - spinned by Sasha, Tom Stephan, Seb Fontaine and the usual suspects.
