Tools I Used

Mainly FLstudio, Wavelab & CoolEdit.

Samples I Used

The contest loops I used are:

Apollo_Nove_Yage_Cage_Choir.wav
110_bongos01_apollonove.wav
110_cibelle01_apollonove.wav
110_cibelle02_apollonove.wav
110_vaso01_apollonove.wav
110_pand01_apollonove.wav
110_clav01_apollonove.wav
110_clav02_apollonove.wav
cibelle_noite_huuuuuaa_01.wav
cibelle_noite_claps_01.wav
cibelle_noite_vox_2_01.wav

I bought a bunch of sample packs in the past which I didn't use at all, so I took this chance to mix them into a kind of funky-compilation.

Original Samples

The vocals by vocalist Karina Barrios.

The 'sssh' sounds and a few other forms of vocal-percussion performed by Karina & me.

Process

I wanted to keep the Apollo style with clavinet/bongo's/conga's/shaker/bells. I started with these percussions and the rest came later.

Other Notes

I wanted to make optimal use of the loops provided by Apollo Nove. I mixed them throughout the whole song, but did some extreme editting & effects. I wonder who's gonna be the first to recognize the Cibelle & Apoollo Clavinet sounds in the track ^^
