Tools I Used
This is basically a beat made in Maschine over about 4 scenes. It contains some vinyl samples and a custom kit.
The machine groups were dumped to Logic Pro X and tracked. Then the acapella was brought in from the dry download.
The vocals dubs are pitched using izotope nectar. One track is just a couple words vocoded to sound like Joshua from War Games....:)
Samples I Used
I used Donnie Ozones The Session acapella.
The other samples are from vinyl. So if you need to clear them hit me up.
Original Samples
The chime is actually just a large wine glass in my office that I hit with a spoon.
Process
Logic Pro X mainly. Izotope Nectar is used on the vocals and a Nebula Tape Saturation Plugin is used on the master.
Other Notes
I love this type of vocal style. Reminds me of the 80's and how much I love hip hop from that era.
