Uses samples from:

Tools I Used

Fender Telecaster, P-Bass, a Keystudio, Organized Trio, and Simulanalog's plug in suite.

Samples I Used

I used the drums and guitar from unreal_dm's track.

Original Samples

organ, vocal, and the lead breaks.

Process

I had the idea for making a song about robots from the source's track title. But I needed space to do it, and the original was great, but too busy for the vocal I wanted to add. It was heartbreaking to leave out the upright bass, but even it was not subtle enough for what I wanted to do.

So I stripped it down to the guitar and drums, and added a softer bass, and organ instead of piano. I sang the first verse ad lib, but ended up writing the second one down first.

Then I added the Telecaster in to the remaining parts of the song.

Other Notes

I have nerd stuff on the brain, these days. Comiccon is coming, and I just saw The Avengers. :)
